Reading with Friends — 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This book group is designed for readers and non-readers. Participants can enjoy stories and be guided through discussion and activities related to the reading.

Preschool STEAM: Baking Soda Experiments — 11:15 a.m. to noon, Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. This month, children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers will try two classic baking soda and vinegar experiments.
