Ivy Tech Community College held its Fall Job and Internship Fair at the Columbus Learning Center, which was open to students and alumni of IUPUC, Ivy Tech and Purdue Polytechnic, as well as military veterans and the public.

2000

Claas of America Inc., a Columbus-based manufacturer of agricultural machinery, donated $10,000 to the National Future Farmers of America Foundation.

1975

Former Columbus resident Dr. James R. Lewellen was appointed area manager for the humanities for Passaic County, N.J., by the board of education. Lewellen graduated from Columbus High School in 1959.
