Columbus native and fitness instructor Kristen Clark was chosen to be a contestant on the game show “The Price is Right,” with the episode scheduled to air on Nov. 2 on CBS.

The annual Halloween Costume Contest was held at The Commons, sponsored by the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department, Columbus Jaycees and Columbus Area Arts Council. Children up to age 12 dressed up in their scariest and spookiest costumes to compete for candy prizes.
1975
Kathryn “Babe” Adams of Columbus was awarded a 50-year pin during an Alpha Phi sorority meeting at the home of the chapter president. The pin was a symbol of the 50th anniversary of her initiation into the sorority.
