IUC edges Kuyper for second straight win to open season

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — IU Columbus rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to post its second win in as many games, a 77-74 victory against Kuyper College.

Jermayn Baxter led the Crimson Pride with 32 points. Jennings County graduate Owen Law scored 17 points, while Deylon Johnson had 12 points and Trevin Lieck added seven points and six rebounds. Damontae Thompson posted six assists and five steals.

IUC will stay in Grand Rapids to play Grace Christian Saturday. The Crimson Pride’s next home game is Nov. 13 against Goshen.
