RIO GRANDE, Ohio — Sixth-seeded IU Columbus saw its volleyball season come to an end Tuesday with a 22-25, 25-22, 25-19, 17-25, 15-11 loss at third-seeded Rio Grande in the quarterfinals of the River States Conference Tournament.
Bailey Stevens led the Crimson Pride with 29 assists and four aces. Cora Baker pounded 13 kills, Journee Brown had four blocks and Alyvia Luce notched 27 digs.
Also for IUC, Sadie Egan recorded 12 kills, 23 assists, one block and one ace, and Ruthie Bingham tallied 12 kills and one block. Luce posted three assists, Cora Baker had 20 digs and Stevens added 11 digs.
The Crimson Pride finished 20-9 to post the first winning season in any sport in school history.
