Play an assortment of board games and card games, and enjoy games on the new gaming PCs and arcade machine. Register on the library website.

Play On Words: Open Mic Poetry & Prose — 5 to 7:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Hear and be heard at this open mic night. Enjoy original poetry and readings from local artists, or present your own writing in a relaxed and nonjudgmental space.

“Artists Among Us” Opening Reception — 5 to 7:30 p.m., Stillframes Art & Design, 4780 Progress Drive, Columbus. Stillframes Art & Design’s Art in Focus Gallery presents a new group exhibition highlighting the work of 22 local and regional artists from across central Indiana. Many of the artists will be in attendance at the opening reception to offer guests the opportunity to learn more about the inspirations, techniques and stories behind their work. Light refreshments will be served, and all artwork will be available for purchase.

NAMI Peer Support — 6 to 7:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. NAMI support groups are peer-led and offer participants an opportunity to share their experiences and gain support from other attendees.

“The Outsiders” — 7 p.m., Judson Erne Auditorium, 1400 25th St., Columbus. Columbus North High School’s student cast will present their adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s novel “The Outsiders.” Cost is $18 for adults ages 18-and-up, $10 for seniors, and $6 for children and students ages 17-and-under.
