2015

Terrace Lake Community Church on the west side of Columbus debuted its new $2 million, 12,434-square-foot education and nursery wing, which boasted better security for child care and much needed additional room.

2000

The second annual Women’s Professional Development Conference was held at the Holiday Inn, where motivational speaker and Columbus native Patricia Leonard dressed like a magician and told women how to use a magic wand to take charge of their lives.

1975

Arvin Industries, Inc. declared a cash dividend for the first time in 1975, which marked the 51st consecutive year the local firm paid cash dividends on its stock. The dividend called for payment of 13 cents a share on Dec. 15 to shareholders.
