Sentinels claim first franchise win

PORT HURON, Mich. — The Indiana Sentinels picked up their first win in franchise history Friday night, a 9-3 victory at Port Huron.

The Sentinels (1-10) jumped out to a 5-1 lead after one period. They led 5-2 after two periods before putting up four more goals in the final 20 minutes.

Bohdan Zinchenko scored the game’s first three goals, the first of which came just 47 seconds into the game. Ryan Glazer also had a hat trick with three goals. Jonas Leas, Marian Pazitka and Connor Mullins scored the other goals.

Port Huron outshot Indiana 44-33. Rahul Sharma recorded 41 saves.

The Sentinels play again Saturday at Port Huron. They visit Watertown Nov. 21 and Port Huron again Nov. 26 before returning home to play the Blue Ridge Bobcats Nov. 28 and 29.
