Donner hosts Veterans Day Pentathlon

Donner Swim Club hosted the Veterans Day Pentathlon last weekend at Columbus North High School.

Donner Swim Club participated in its own 2025 Veterans Day Pentathlon last weekend. Ninety-seven swimmers competed across individual and relay events, with 70% earning best times, with new Divisional, State and Zones cuts.

Chloé Aranega, Susu Bloomer, Jed Kendall, Skanda Harini Pinna and Avhaan Trivedi competed in their first-ever meet. Additionally, the high point awards were swept by Donner Swimmers.

The 8-and-under High Point winners were Everett Chang and Naira Shah, 9-10 were Arash Thokade and Myra Jaryal, 11-12 were Chad Pendleton and Ella Bringman, and 13 & over were Xavier Zhang and Camila Mejia Murguia.

Arjun Agarkar secured a new Divisional cut in the 400-yard individual medley and re-secured his cuts in the 200 freestle and 200 backstroke. He competed in the 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke for the first time.

Chloé Aranega competed in her first ever meet and got lifetime best times in the 50 freestyle, 25 freestyle, 25 butterfly and 25 backstroke.

Anvi Athavale swam the 100 butterfly for the first time and secured a new best time in the 100 breaststroke.

Ellery Barrett dropped over five seconds across her five events and swam the 50 butterfly and 200 IM for the first time.

Emerson Barrett re-established her Divisional cuts in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke and achieved a best time in the 100 butterfly.

Eva Barrett went five for five in lifetime best times across 25s of every stroke and a 50 freestyle.

Shinjan Bera had four out of five best times. In the 100 breaststroke, he dropped over a second.

Isaac Bingham competed in the 200 backstroke and 200 breaststroke for the first time.

Susu Bloomer competed in the 50 freestyle and 25s of every stroke for the first time.

Reyansh Borole dropped over six seconds in the 50 freestyle for a best time.

Tanay Brijpuria secured lifetime best times in the 50 freestyle and 50 backstroke.

Cooper Bringman dropped almost half a second in his 100 butterfly. This puts him 0.24 seconds off the state cut.

Ella Bringman dropped over a second in her 200 IM and re-secured her Divisional cuts in her other four swims. Additionally she secured high point for the 11-12 girls.

Ian Bringman went 5 for 5 in lifetime best times, dropping over 44 seconds across his events.

Kara Brinksneader swam the 100 butterfly for the first time and got a lifetime best time.

Camila Castelan swam the 50 freestyle, 25 butterfly and 25 breaststroke for the first time and achieved lifetime best times in all five of her events. She dropped over 10 seconds.

Dana Castelan went 4 for 5 in lifetime best times and dropped over seven seconds.

Matteo Castelan went 4 for 5 in lifetime best times, dropping over 39 seconds.

Everett Chang competed in his first meet with Donner and won the 8U boys high point award. He dropped time in all five of his events.

Freddy Chang also competed in his first meet with Donner and re-secured his 50 breaststroke Divisional cut with over 2 seconds of time dropped.

Anaya Chogale dropped over four seconds in her 100 freestyle.

Arya Dayama achieved three best times and competed in the 200 IM for the first time.

Jasper Elkins dropped over 19 seconds across his three lifetime best times.

Leo Erfmeier re-secured his 50 breaststroke Divisional cut and dropped over two seconds of time.

Ellie Fitzsimmons competed in the 200 butterfly and 400 IM for the first time along with re-establishing her Divisional cuts in the 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke.

Jack Fitzsimmons went three for five in new lifetime best times, competing in the 100 butterfly for the first time.

Dawson Force also had three out of five new personal best times and re-secured his 50 freestyle Divisional cut.

Aarini Gallege went 4 for 5 in lifetime best times, dropping over 32 seconds across all of her events.

Vihaan Gallege competed in his first meet with Donner.

Kennedy Greer-Bos went 3 for 5 in best times, dropping over 19 seconds.

Palmer Greer-Bos dropped over six seconds in his 25 backstroke and competed in the 50 freestyle and 50 backstroke for the first time.

Myra Jaryal won high point for the 9-10 girls and secured her first USA AAA cut (Indiana Swimming Zones Standard) in the 50 freestyle. Additionally, she re-secured her state cuts in her other four events.

Neil Johnson dropped over ten seconds of time in his 50 Backstroke and 200 IM.

Estelle Joseph dropped over 40 seconds in her 100 butterfly and dropped an additional 30 seconds across her other four events to record five best times.

Adir Joshi competed in the 200 butterfly and 400 IM for the first time and re-secured his cuts in the 200 freestyle, 200 backstroke and 200 breaststroke.

Tanvi Kabra dropped over a minute across all five of her events, in her 50 butterfly she dropped 30 of those seconds.

Sarthak Kamble competed in the 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke for the first time, while dropping over 25 seconds in his 200 freestyle.

Avleen Kaur went 5 for 5 in lifetime best times, dropping over 59 seconds across all events.

Ravleen Kaur dropped two seconds between her 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly.

Jack Kendall competed in his first ever 200 IM and dropped over 13 seconds in his 50 butterfly.

Jed Kendall swam in his first meet and got lifetime best times in the 25 freestyle and 25 backstroke.

Xander Kendall dropped over 19 seconds between his two new lifetime best times in the 50 butterfly and 50 breaststroke.

Aarush Mahato re-secured his Divisional cuts in the 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke.

Ell Maignan achieved her second individual Divisional cut of the season in the 200 freestyle, dropping over six seconds from her previous best time. Additionally she swam the 200 butterfly and 400 IM for the first time.

Eli McIntier dropped over 64 seconds between his 400 IM, 200 breaststroke and 200 butterfly.

Emily McIntier established three new Divisional cuts in the 200 freestyle, 200 backstroke and 400 IM), swam the 200 butterfly for the first time and re-secured her 200 breaststroke Divisional cut.

Emily Meek re-secured her Divisional cuts in the 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 IM.

Kashvi Mehta achieved best times in the 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke, dropping a combined 53 seconds.

Camila Mejia Murguia swam a best time in the 200 breaststroke, dropping five seconds. Additionally she re-established Divisional cuts in all five of her events and was the high point winner for 13-and-over girls.

Rebeca Mejia Murguia also re-secured Divisional cuts in all of her events, with a personal best in the 200 backstroke, dropping over nine seconds from her previous best.

Chacha Mugasa went 5 for 5 in best times and competed in the 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 200 IM for the first time.

Robi Mugasa competed in the 200 IM for the first time.

Reed Murphy went 4 for 5 in best times, dropping six seconds between his 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly, and swam the 50 breaststroke and 200 IM for the first time.

Pujya Nandana Nandipati went 3 for 4 in best times, competing in the 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke.

Gunner Napier re-secured his 50 backstroke Divisional cut and got new personal best times in the 50 butterfly and 50 freestyle.

Mahi Narang competed in the 200 IM for the first time and had best times in four of her five events.

Anand Neela secured a new Divisional cut in the 200 freestyle and best times in his other events.

Karthik Nimmagadda went 3 for 5 in best times in the 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 200 IM.

Zach Ogle dropped over five seconds in the 50 freestyle.

Misheeta Pal went 3 for 5 in best times, dropping over 48 seconds in the 100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke and 200 IM.

Chad Pendleton secured a new ISCA cut in the 100 backstroke, an improved State cut in the 100 freestyle and re-secured his Divisional cut in the 100 breaststroke and State cuts in the 100 butterfly and 200 IM. Additionally he was the high point winner for the 11-12 boys.

Lily Pendleton established new Divisional cuts in the 200 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke and 400 IM. She also re-established her previous Divisional cut in the 200 freestyle.

John Pigman earmed a new lifetime best time in the 50 breaststroke.

Skanda Harini Pinna competed in her first meet and went 5 for 5 in lifetime bests.

Chris Plunkett achieved four out of five lifetime best times, dropping over 12 seconds.

Noah Plunkett also went 4 for 5 in best times and competed in the 200 butterfly for the first time.

Owen Plunkett dropped over 53 seconds of time in his four best times.

Abhyud Ponnathpur went 3 for 5 in best times, including an over 40 second time drop in his 200 IM.

Ritvik Prithiviraj re-secured Divisional cuts in three of his five events and competed in the 200 butterfly for the first time.

Addilyn Purvis had 100% lifetime best times, dropping over six seconds across all events and swimming the 200 IM for the first time.

Eva Rayomand achieved new Divisional cuts in the 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke, as well as re-securing cuts in the 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 200 IM. She dropped over seven seconds and competed in the 100 breaststroke for the first time.

Anna Reed swam the 100 butterfly for the first time and dropped over three seconds in the 100 freestyle.

Charlie Reed dropped over five seconds in the 50 freestyle and 50 breaststroke and competed in the 50 butterfly for the first time.

Courtland Reed re-secured her Divisional cut in the 200 freestyle and swam the 200 butterfly, 200 breaststroke and 400 IM for the first time.

Cauá Roberto Garros dropped over 54 seconds between his five events, four of which were lifetime bests.

Luiza Salomao went 5 for 5 in lifetime best times and secured a new Divisional cut in the 100 butterfly.

Haley Schofield dropped over five seconds in the 100 breaststroke and dropped over 39 seconds in the 100 butterfly.

Jaxon Schofield competed in the 50 breaststroke for the first time and dropped over three seconds in the 25 freestyle.

Lily Schofield had best times in three of her five events and swam the 200 butterfly and 400 IM for the first time.

Naira Shah won the high point award for the 8U girls and swam the 100 IM for the first time.

Chloe Shuter dropped over 20 seconds in the 200 backstroke, 19 seconds in the 200 freestyle and swam the 200 breaststroke for the first time.

Emma Simms went 3 for 5 in lifetime best times, including the 100 butterfly which she swam for the first time.

Cammie Smith got a lifetime best in the 50 freestyle.

Lela Smith dropped over 38 seconds in her 100 butterfly.

Aarav Sriram achieved new Divisional cuts (among his five lifetime best times) in the 200 freestyle and 400 IM.

Max Tempest re-secured his Divisional cuts in all five events and is within less than a second of a State cut in the 50 freestyle.

Arash Thokade won the high point award for 9-10 boys and achieved best times in the 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly and 50 backstroke. He’s within a few seconds of the USA AAA cut (Indiana Swimming Zones Standard) for those events, as well.

Avhaan Trivedi competed in his first meet and went 3 for 4 in lifetime best times.

Ojas Utker went 4 for 5 in best times. He dropped two seconds in the 100 FR and swam his other events for the first time.

Aara Venkatesan also went 4 for 5 in best times, dropping over 37 seconds between the 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke and swimming the 200 butterfly and 400 IM for the first time.

Vanshika Raj Yadav dropped over 14 seconds across her four personal bests.

Xavier Zhang won the high point award for 13-and-over boys and dropped time in four of his five events, re-securing Divisional cuts in the 200s of every stroke and the 400 IM.

Donner will compete next at the Seymour Winter Invitational.
