Fields led the Crusaders with 16 points Saturday in a season-opening 66-41 loss to Community Christian from Connersville.
His performance last week: “I could definitely do better. I’ve been practicing a lot more, and I’m looking to improving this year and doing a lot better for the team.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “A lot of leg stretches and arm stretches, eating protein and definitely drink a lot of water beforehand.”
Favorite drink: “Gatorade Cucumber Lime”
Favorite food: “My grandma’s chicken or salmon.”
Favorite class: “Bible class.”
Favorite sports team: “Baltimore Ravens and Florida Gators”
Favorite athlete: “Anthony Davis”
Role model: “My grandpa (Thomas Fields) and my best friends.”
Best advice: “Don’t give up. If people tell you that you’re bad or not cut out, just prove them wrong. If you feel that way yourself, improve, grow, learn from your mistakes and continue on.’’
Athletics goal: “To be the top scorer here all-time and go on to college and play basketball.”
If you could travel anywhere: “Tokyo, Japan. I love Anime, so I would love to go see some Anime, and also, the sights there are amazing.”

Cloud went 5-0 to win the 125-pound title and lead the Olympians to a fourth-place team finish in Saturday’s Purdue Poly Englewood Invitational.
Her performance last week: “I think they were pretty good opponents, and I think I did good.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I just kind of go about my day as I would normally. I’m big on hydration with Powerade and Gatorade after I weigh in.”
