Dementia Friends Information Sessions — 10 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 3 p.m., The Sanctuary Church, 3939 Central Ave., Columbus. Thrive Alliance will be offering an information session for anyone interested in learning how to become a Dementia Friend and what they can do to make our community more dementia friendly. Dementia Champion Jane Ferril of Thrive Alliance will lead two Dementia Friends information sessions. There is no charge, but space is limited. “Make a Fresh Greens Holiday Wreath” Wreath-Making Class — 10 a.m. to noon, Henry Breeding Farm, 13730 N. County Road 100W, Edinburgh. In collaboration with the South Central Indiana Master Gardener Association, the Bartholomew County Historical Society will host two wreath-making classes. All supplies will be provided, and hot cider and cookies will be served. All proceeds will benefit the both organizations. Cost is $40 for members and $5 for non-members. Drop-In Holiday Ornament Creation Station — 1 to 6 p.m., Columbus Propeller, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus. Poetry Reading with Dan Denton — 2 to 3 p.m., Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave., Columbus. Poet and novelist Dan Denton from Toledo, Ohio, will be giving a poetry reading, talking about his books, and will have a Q&A session. Free food will be available. All are welcome. Hosted by the IU Columbus Feminism Club.

“Reflection of Winter Holly” Basket-Making Class — 5 to 9 p.m., NexusPark, 2380 25th St., Columbus. Students will weave their basket with winter green reed supported by a natural oak handle, then fill the basket with a provided gathering of lifelike variegated holly and berries. For adults from beginners to experienced weavers. For all basket classes, students should bring a flat blade screwdriver, scissors, a large towel and a spray bottle for water. Pre-K Family Night — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Bartholomew County Pre-K students and their families are invited to a pajama party at the library hosted by BCSC Pre-K. Visit the Bookmobile and BCPL Express, complete a scavenger hunt in the library, and meet very special guest Llama Llama in his red pajamas. Snacks, stories and stickers will be provided.
