Rosalina

These two siblings are in foster homes waiting to find the perfect family just in time for the holidays.

Rosalina is now 99% housebroken. She loves exploring the neighborhood and just loves her walks and does so mostly on a loose leash (she does not pull). Rosalina responds to “come,” “go outside,” “sit” and “kennel.” When asked to “kennel,” she heads right in and waits quietly or sleeps until it’s time to come out. She also knows not to beg or expect attention during family meals. Rosalina’s favorite activities currently are play-wrestling with the older dogs in the foster home and chasing them around the yard, as well as chewing up tree branches (she has also learned not to chew furniture, shoes, etc.) and keeping a keen eye out for squirrels and cats outside in the yard. In other words, she’s worked through nearly all of the typical puppy issues and would be the perfect, adorable companion for someone to choose for their forever home!

Birdo is a very sweet girl who is extremely curious as she learns how to be in a home. She loves to investigate and know exactly what her human is doing. Some new experiences still make her a little nervous like car rides, but she’s getting more comfortable. She’s good — and still getting better — on a leash, knows all her basic commands and will get better at “stay” and “down” as she gains confidence. She also takes treats extremely gently, which will be good if children are in the house. She is not territorial with her foster siblings and hasn’t been food aggressive at all. Birdo is potty trained and sleeps in the crate all night with no accidents. She paces when she has to go out to potty, so she is trying to give a signal. Even though she is still puppy age, she hasn’t been destructive at all, other than with the stuffed animal toys. She is a great snuggler and has the softest fur. She’ll be a great dog and just needs a chance and a place she knows is home.
