Seven children were adopted in a series of hearings presided over by Bartholomew County judges on National Adoption Day at the Bartholomew County Courthouse. It was the first time Bartholomew County had participated in the adoption day event.

Reindeer Tundra and Thor, along with Santa Claus, visited with children and families at The Commons. The reindeer were owned by Tim Curtis of Indianapolis, who took them around Indiana.
