A Christmas tree lighting ceremony was held at Columbus City Hall and The Commons, where trees donated by Jerry and Shelley Coomer, and Lea Ann Mitchell were lit with dazzling, festive lights.

The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. Board voted to join the Columbus Learning Center project, a collaboration between IUPUC, Ivy Tech State College, Purdue School of Technology, Indiana Department of Workforce Development and BCSC.

The musical presentation “Lightshine” opened the Advent season at Petersville United Methodist Church, which included members from the adult Chancel choir and the youth choir. The musical was written by Buryl Red and Grace Hawthorne, and directed by the Rev. Gerald E. Stitt.
