North Vernon man accused of child molesting, incest and sexual battery involving two teen victims

JENNINGS COUNTY — The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Kuhlman, 48, of North Vernon, following an investigation into allegations involving two juvenile victims.
Investigators said Kuhlman was taken into custody and booked on the following preliminary charges:
• 1 Count – Level 1 felony child molesting
• 1 Count – Level 4 felony incest
• 2 Counts – Level 4 felony sexual battery
• 1 Count – Level 4 felony dealing methamphetamine
The investigation began after allegations were reported involving two separate victims, ages 16 and 13. During a forensic interview at a child advocacy center, the juvenile victims disclosed information regarding criminal sexual acts.
During an interview with investigators,  Kuhlman admitted to providing methamphetamine and alcohol to the juveniles, as well as confirming details consistent with the allegations made against him, investigators said.
Investigators said no additional information will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of the victims.
