COLUMBUS
Rosemary J. Bolenbaugh, 99, of Columbus, passed from this life at 7:11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Rosemary was born August 31, 1926, in Howard County, Indiana, the daughter of Arthur and Ethel Ramseyer Jackson. On April 13, 1947 she married Alan J Bolenbaugh.
Mrs. Bolenbaugh was a devoted, lifelong, founding member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was also the manager for the Bartholmew Consolidated School Corporation bookstore before retiring. She and Alan loved to hike, and traveled extensively, visiting all 50 states.
Survivors include her children, Philip (Emily) Bolenbaugh of Evansville, Douglas (Gay) Bolenbaugh of Sugar Grove, Illinois, Tom (Julie) Bolenbaugh of Columbia, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Susanne (Philip) Hamilton of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Louise Brinkman of Franklin, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alan and brother-in-law, Fred Brinkman.
In keeping with the family’s request, cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be announced at a later date in March of 2026.
The inurnment of Alan and Rosemary Bolenbaugh will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery in the Devotion section.
Memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
