Legal Advertisement REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR CASH RENTAL OF FARMGROUND The Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District (BCSWMD) is requesting bids from experienced farmers for the cash rent of unused farm ground adjacent to the Yard Waste Site. Contract documents are available for review at no cost at the Office of Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District, 720 South Mapleton Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201 Each person offering a bid shall submit a completed bid form for the property they are interested in farming. The lease is for a 3-year term with an automatic 3% per annum inflation factor. The farm is generally described below: 1) ± 20 acres at our Yard Waste disposal site near the Columbus City Garage, 2250 Kreutzer Drive in Columbus, IN Bids must be delivered to the Office of the Director, Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District, 720 South MAPLETON Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201, no later than 3:30 pm local time, Wednesday, January 21st, 2026. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope marked “Farm Rental Bid”. Bids will be opened at the January 2026 BCSWMD Board Meeting, contact BCSWMD Offices for all of the details at 812-376-2614. The BCSWMD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities herein, and to accept the bid that in its sole judgment is the most responsive and responsible. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after receipt. No contract will be awarded to any bidder, who as determined by the BCSWMD, is not qualified to provide the requested services.
