A dozen community members participated in the FireArms Training Simulator (FATS) in the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department’s training room, which allowed them to gain a greater appreciation of the challenges police officers face.

The Bartholomew County Commissioners voted 3-0 to award a $515,085 bid to Repp and Mundt Inc. of Columbus to build a new central dispatch center at the east corner of Cherry Street and Illinois Avenue.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Calender of Greensburg donated $5,000 to the Library Fund Drive for the Columbus Center of IUPUI, the largest contribution to date.
