Port Huron stops Sentinels

PORT HURON, Mich. — Port Huron jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one period Saturday and went on to hand the Indiana Sentinels a 5-1 defeat.

Ivan Ponivanov scored the goal for the Sentinels off assists from Vladislav Pavlov and Ethan Esposito.

Indiana outshot the Prowlers 29-18. John Werber recorded 13 saves.

The Sentinels return home to host the Columbus (Georgia) River Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
