BEDFORD — The Columbus East swimmers split a dual meet Thursday at Bedford North Lawrence, winning the boys contest 83-68 and dropping the girls meet 131-11.
Alex Stilson won the 200-yard freestyle (2 minutes, 6.62 seconds) and 100 backstroke (1:03.49), and Josh Pendleton took the 100 butterfly (55.30) and 100 breaststroke (1:08.25) to lead the Olympian boys. Mason Bean captured the 200 individual medley (2:30.28), and East swept the 200 medley (2:00.35), 200 freestyle (1:50.34) and 400 freestyle (3:40.96) relays.
Ryan Turner finished second in the 50 freestyle (25.60) and 100 freestyle (56.31). Ryan Lienhoop placed second in the 200 freestyle (2:26.38).
Savannah Burton finished third in the 50 freestyle (33.42) and 100 freestyle (1:15.25), and Baylee Benefield was third in the 200 freestyle (2:35.25) for the Olympian girls.
