IU Columbus dropped a River States Conference basketball doubleheader Saturday at Nexus Park, falling to Shawnee State 95-50 in the women’s game and 88-62 in the men’s contest.
Trevin Lieck led the Crimson Pride men (2-14, 0-4) with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Kyan Reichhoff scored 10 points and Jayden Broadnax, LaRenzo Hopkins and newcomer Jaleel Edwards all added eight points. Damontae Thompson had four assists and four steals.
Columbus North graduate Hadassah Hurt led the IUC women (4-12, 2-2) with 11 points, while another North grad, Emma Beaver, grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Amaya Collins had 10 points and five steals, Brooklyn McDonnell scored nine points and Morgan Montgomery added eight points.
The Crimson Pride women will host IU Kokomo at 6 p.m. Tuesday, while the men will visit IU Kokomo at the same time.
