
Participants in Jan. 10, 1976’s Vietnamese Refugee Conference at North Christian Church eat a Vietnamese lunch consisting of shrimp and asparagus soup, egg rolls, wonton with sweet and sour sauce, and fresh fruits. Over 140 refugees and their sponsors attended the conference.

Alfreda Claffey was the keynote speaker at the 37th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Award Celebration at Calvary Community Church, where she encouraged young people to remember King’s sacrifice.
2001
The Bartholomew County 4-H Fair was named grand champion in Class AA by the Indiana Association of County and District Fairs during its annual convention in Indianapolis. Bartholomew County also won the award in 1997.
