BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY — A number of fire departments have cleared the scene of a fully-engulfed garage at 7620 N. County Road 1000E.
Hope Fire Department was in charge of the scene, but a Republic photographer was not allowed to get close enough to the structure to take photos as there was concern about live ammunition being in the structure.
Firefighters were dispatched at 11:34 a.m. Tuesday, and cleared the scene at 2:51 p.m., according to emergency logs.
Multiple fire departments were dispatched due to the need for more manpower and for water to be trucked to the scene.
