GREENSBURG — It was a roller coaster of a game Tuesday when South Decatur pulled out a 39-37 Mid-Hoosier Conference girls basketball win against visiting Edinburgh.
The Cougars (9-11, 5-1) jumped out to a 14-0 lead after one quarter, only to see the Lancers (9-9, 2-2) battle back to tie the game at 17-17 at halftime. South Decatur grabbed a 32-24 lead after three quarters and had to hold on for the win.
Riley Benge led the Cougars with 17 points. Raegan Benge added seven points and 16 rebounds.
Kenna Streeval led Edinburgh with 15 points. Bella Turner added 11.
