NORTH VERNON — Class 3A No. 9 Jennings County claimed a share of the Hoosier Hills Conference girls basketball title with a 71-33 win against Columbus East Thursday.
The Panthers (15-5, 5-1), who led 32-13 at halftime, tied for the championship with Floyd Central.
Mollie Ernstes led Jennings with 29 points. Etta Young scored 13, Riley Byford had 12 and Kaydence Lowman added eight.
Ella Anthis led the Olympians (5-15, 0-6) with eight points. Lola Watkins scored seven, and Kenzie Cheek added six.
