Tuesday weather-related closings

The following closings have been announced for Tuesday.

  • BCSC has canceled classes for Tuesday.
  • Columbus Christian School will have eLearning Tuesday.
  • Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corp. is on eLearning Tuesday.
  • The city of Columbus will have an E-working Day on Tuesday. All city facilities will be closed; however, phone and email communications will continue to be monitored. Essential personnel, including those in law enforcement, fire services, the Department of Public Works, Utilities, and others, will operate as usual. Sanitation services will resume on Tuesday with a one-day delay. This means that Monday’s collections will be picked up on Tuesday and Friday’s collections will be picked up on Saturday.
  • The Bartholomew County Courthouse and county offices will be closed Tuesday.
  • The Tuesday meeting of the Columbus Board of Zoning Appeals, which had been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Columbus City Hall, has been canceled.
  • ColumBUS Call-A-Bus will be in operation on Tuesday, for medically urgent passenger rides.
  • The Bartholomew County Public Library and its Hope branch will be closed Tuesday.
  • Thrive Alliance offices and congregate meal sites will remain closed on Tuesday due to emergency travel restrictions caused by the weather.

  • The Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center and BCSWMD Offices will be closed on Tuesday. The Bartholomew County Landfill will be open 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on Tuesday.

  • Watts family dentistry will be closed Tuesday.

  • The Bartholomew County REMC lobby will be closed Tuesday.

  • Sans Souci will be closed on Tuesday.
  •  With the updated ORANGE travel clearance for Bartholomew County, CRH outpatient practices and procedures will resume operations beginning at noon Tuesday. Learn more at www.crh.org/news.
  • The following Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle(BMV) branches and offices will be closed on Tuesday:
    • North Vernon
    • Clarksville
    • Loogootee
    • Vincennes
    • Dale
    • Rockville
    Additionally, the BMV branch in Marion will be closed due to facility issues.
    The Clinton branch will be open on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in place of the Rockville closure.
