Crimson Pride notches first win of season

TIGER, Ga. — IU Columbus picked up its first win of the baseball season Friday, a 14-3, six-inning victory at Toccoa Falls (Georgia) in the second game of a doubleheader.

Toccoa Falls, which edged the Crimson Pride in a pair of one-run games to open the season Thursday, won Friday’s first game 10-8.

Jennings County graduate Lane Zohrlaut picked up the win in relief in the second game for IUC (1-3).

The Crimson Pride will visit Lindsey Wilson for a single game Feb. 6 and a doubleheader Feb. 7. Their first home games will be doubleheaders Feb. 21 and 22 against Cleary.
