The IU Columbus men’s and women’s basketball teams both dropped River States Conference games to Brescia Tuesday. The Crimson Pride men lost 97-84 at Brescia, and the IUC women fell 81-56 at home.
Trevin Lieck recorded 23 points and 14 rebounds, and Eric Jackson had 23 points and two steals to lead the Crimson Pride men (2-12, 0-11). Damontae Thompson scored 11 points, Chase Ridao had 10 points and LaRenzo Hopkins added eight points and nine assists.
Amaya Collins led the IUC women (5-18, 3-8) with 25 points. Abby Fleetwood scored 12 points, and Columbus North graduate Emma Beaver added six points.
The Crimson Pride will host a women’s-men’s doubleheader against West Virginia Tech at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday.
