WALDRON — Edinburgh jumped out to a 14-5 lead after one quarter Tuesday and went on to post a 43-28 girls basketball win against Southwestern (Shelby) in the opening round of the Waldron Sectional.
Kenna Streeval led the Lancers (13-9) with 17 points. Bella Turner scored 11, and Kinzie Purvis added 10.
Edinburgh will play Knightstown in the sectional semifinals at 6 p.m. Friday.
