Columbus resident Paulette Roberts brought the year 1825 to life when she presented “The Life and Times of Harriet Tubman” at Mill Race Center. The Black History Month presentation was sponsored by the Bartholomew County Library Associates.

2001

The Columbus North High School girls basketball team beat Bedford North-Lawrence 65-57, led by senior Rachel Perkins with 18 points. Perkins joined seniors Stephanie King, Kelly Starewicz and Anna Fourman to force 23 Bedford turnovers.

The Columbus North High School basketball team beat host Southport 75-66, shooting at 61% and dominating the game with a 45-26 advantage at halftime.
