KOKOMO — IU Columbus was within one point with eight minutes remaining Tuesday, but IU Kokomo pulled away for an 81-61 River States Conference women’s basketball victory.
Abby Fleetwood led the Crimson Pride (5-22, 3-12) with 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Columbus North graduate Hadassah Hurt had 15 points and seven rebounds, Amaya Collins recorded 13 points and three steals and Samone Rutland added nine points and three steals. North grad Emma Beaver also grabbed seven rebounds.
IUC will close the regular season Saturday at Saint Mary-of-the Woods. The Crimson Pride are in position to qualify for next week’s River States Conference Tournament.
