COLUMBUS
Ellen N. Miller, age 65 of Columbus, (formerly of Canton, Ohio), went home to be with our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ Thursday, February 26, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Ellen was born January 1, 1961, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of John Edward and Ellene Charlotte McCarty Daly.
Ellen will be remembered as a devoted, loving, caring and faithful mother who was also a sister, daughter, nana and friend. She was truly one of a kind. Ellen was honest and real; outspoken but gentle. Ellen relied heavily on her faith each day, trusting in God’s plan. Her favorite pastime included baking with her grandchildren and spending time with her family-allowing her to live a full life. Ellen split her time living between Canton and Columbus, recently returning to Indiana to begin her battle with pancreatic cancer. She fought hard with the support of her family and faith in Christ. Her memory will live on with those who knew her and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Eddie (Sarah) Miller of Greenwood, Erica (Jacob) Rice of Columbus; grandchildren, Emma Hester, Jacob Rice II, Maleaya Rice, Thomas Rice, Logan Miller, Payton Miller, Braxton Miller, Harper Miller; siblings, Charlotte (Robert) Wilkes, Candy (James) Price, John (Esther) Daly, Frank (Mara) Daly, Laura Numbers, Lynn Smith (John) Hoover; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward Daly and Ellene Daly Santmyer along with her brother, Foster Wilhelm Daly.
In keeping with the family’s request, cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
