Sentinels snap skid with win vs. Prowlers

The Indiana Sentinels snapped a five-game losing streak and finished off their homestand Sunday afternoon with a 3-2 win against the Port Huron Prowlers.

The Sentinels struck first when Brendan Bauer scored off assists from Ivan Ponivanov and Filip Tomiczek and led 1-0 after one period. The Prowlers answered with a pair of goals in the second period to take a 2-1 lead.

Indiana tied it with 28 seconds left in the third period when Tomiczek scored off assists from Romeo Torain and Blake Peavey. Noah Bradburn then scored the game-winner 1:40 into the third period off assists from Ponivanov and Maximus Marek-Tortorella.

Port Huron outshot the Sentinels 43-33. John Werber recorded 41 saves.

Indiana now visits Port Huron Friday and Saturday before returning home for a seven-game homestand, their final one of the season. The Sentinels will host the Topeka Scarecrows March 13, 14 and 15.
