MILAN — Hauser opened defense of its boys basketball sectional title Wednesday with a 72-24 rout of Rising Sun in the opening round of the Milan Sectional.
The Jets (22-2) ran out to a 25-0 lead early in the second quarter and never looked back. They led 48-11 at halftime, triggering a running clock for the final two quarters.
Stryker Gill led Hauser with 25 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Gavin Keller scored 18 points, and Joel Bechtel added 11 points.
The Jets will play Oldenburg Academy in the semifinals at around 7:45 p.m. Friday. Trinity Lutheran will face host Milan in the first semifinal at 6 p.m.
