Jeffery L. Smith 61, passed away peacefully at home on January 7th, 2026 at 6:27pm in Golden Eagle, IL. Jeff was born to Bennie H. Smith and Anna E. Setser (Durnil). He is survived by his wife Tammie (Rister) Smith, son Jesse Smith, grandchildren Syre Smith and his two sisters Carolyn S Burton of Sebring, FL and Shirley M Bush of Salem,IN. He was proceeded in death by his parents Bennie H. Smith and Anna E Setser (Durnil), Step Father Jesse Setser, his two brothers Jerry and Billy Smith and step son Dustin Rister. Jeff was an avid cyclist you often would find him on the trails of Brown County. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He also had a great love of hunting and buying and selling his guns. He had an infectious smile and always positive attitude. He was a tell it like is kind of person. There will be a memorial in Cambellsburg, IN on April 11th at Westview Christian Church at 11:30 am 2638 N. West Washington School Road. Campbellsburg, IN 47108.
