Becker’s Drive-In closed for good after 67 years, leaving Musillami’s as the last classic drive-in in Columbus. Owner William “Bill” Becker, Jr. cited a desire to retire and changing priorities as driving forces in the decision.

2001

Columbus-based Orinoco Properties Inc. was renovating buildings between Central and Cottage avenues to develop a strip mall which would have up to 15 units.

1976

Around 500 children and their parents attended the Children’s Art Fair at The Commons, which included about 130 interactive artworks. The fair was sponsored by the Indiana Department of Public Instruction, Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
