CORYDON — Jennings County jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings and went on to post a 9-5 softball win Wednesday at Corydon Central.
Riley Byford went 3 for 5 with a double, and Maycie Ward went 3 for 5 for Jennings (2-0). Ryleigh Sporleder went 2 for 3 with a double and five RBIs.
Arian Day pitched a nine-hitter. She struck out five and walked two.
