East grad named Player of the Week
DePauw’s Megan Galle has been named North Coast Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.
Galle, a freshman and graduate of Columbus East, went 2-1 in singles and 3-0 in doubles last week. She posted 6-0, 6-0 singles victories in the sixth flight in the Tigers’ victories against Centre and Wooster.
In doubles, Galle and Colleen Morris lost just five games in three third-flight matches. They gave DePauw (2-1), ranked No. 14 in Division III, its lone point in an 8-1 loss against No. 13 Washington (Missouri) on Sunday.
