No-hitter leads Crusaders
Connor Graham threw a six-inning no-hitter Monday to lead Columbus Christian to an 11-1 win against Providence Cristo Rey.
Graham struck out 12 and walked eight for the Crusaders (2-6).
“Anytime he got into any trouble, he pitched his way out of it,” Columbus Christian coach Jamey Reed said.
Graham also went 2 for 4 with two RBIs at the plate. Logan Roth went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, and Jacob Mee added two RBIs.
Cougars nip Jets
SEYMOUR — Hauser left the potential tying run on third base in the seventh inning as Trinity Lutheran held on for a 2-1 win.
The Cougars scored both of their runs off three hits and two walks in first inning of Jared Schoen. After that, Schoen threw five hitless innings, allowing only one walk the rest of the way.
The Jets (3-7) struck out 11 times.

Crusaders notch first win
Hannah Stair drew a bases-loaded walk with one out in the seventh to give Columbus Christian its first win of the season, a 22-21 victory against Providence Cristo Rey.
Madi Ochs went 3 for 6 for the Crusaders (1-3), who scored in every inning. Winning pitcher Savannah Spurgeon went 2 for 6.

Olympians blank Stars
BEDFORD — Columbus East won all five matches in straight sets in a 5-0 win at Bedford North Lawrence.
Megna Chari beat Hope Martin 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, Adycin Rager downed Nikola Malkova 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Alaysha Pollert topped Emily Chastain 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Olympians (5-6).
Esta Morrison and Kendall Gerken beat Ali Adams and Jackie Dufresne 7-6 (2), 6-2) at No. 1 doubles. Maddy Rhodes and Carol Travis downed Olivia Riley and Jenna Williams 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Jets edge Saints
INDIANAPOLIS — Hauser swept the doubles matches and picked up a win at No. 3 singles to pull out a 3-2 victory at Indianapolis Lutheran.
Madie Sherman beat Wenquin Ding 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (3-2). Annie Ashbrook and Sarah Tedder downed Katie Thibodeau and Miguela Renteria 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, and Natalie Taylor and Tannyr Davis topped Elise Miller and Alisha Zhang 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Maycie Asher fell to Emily Jones 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Alana Owen lost to Cici Zhao 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.

Vanessa Hoskins beat Aurora Willman 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, Lillie Parmer downed Courtney Barker 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Allie Schooler topped Kelly Adams 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Meghan Collett and Sydney Schlotter def. Olivia Benter beat Abby Schult 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles, and Emma Westerfeld and Hannah Gosman edged Leah Stuckwisch and Macey Prewitt 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
Owls topple Panthers
NORTH VERNON — Seymour won all five matches in straight sets in a 5-0 win at Jennings County.
The Panthers’ Avis McGovern fell to Hallie Crenshaw 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Rebecca Driver lost to Megan Baurle 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Stefani Williams fell to Addie Rudge 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Elaine Lykins and Amy Gasper lost to Emma Wood and Lindsey Hume 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Hailee Harmon and Adrianne Garris fell to Katie O’Mara and Kelli Armes 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Panthers take second
BEDFORD — Jennings County finished second in the Seymour Invitational, which was contested at Bedford North Lawrence. The Owls won with 111 points to 95 for the Panthers.
Jennings’ Doug Gerringer won the discus (120 feet, 6 inches), Matt Cornett took the 300-meter hurdles (42.53 seconds) and Ricky Hendrix captured the 3,200 (10:10.37).
BOYS LACROSSE
North splits pair
FORT WAYNE — Columbus North split a pair of games in Fort Wayne on Saturday, falling to Fort Wayne Dwenger 12-8 and beating Fort Wayne Luers 18-5
Sawyer Lewis scored two goals; while Dalton Carpenter, Tyler Wang, Jacob Elliott, Ian Hussey, Jesse Holt and Wyatt Barkes all had one goal against Dwenger. Elliott and Barkes notched assists. Ricky Rowing recorded 18 saves.
Against Luers, Carpenter and Lewis each scored four goals, while Holt and Barkes each had three, Elliott netted two and Ishan Zulkifly and Caleb Spencer each had one. Barkes and Davis Kessler each recorded two assists, while Holt and Lenny Cuatzo each had one. Devon Stewart posted nine saves, and Anthony Valencia added four saves.
