Jets nipped by Lancers
HOPE — Although Hauser’s No. 1 singles player, Will Rose, got his team off to a fast start, the Jets dropped a 3-2 decision to visiting Edinburgh on Monday.
Rose won 7-6, 6-1, but the Jets then dropped the next two singles matches.
At No. 2 singles, Avery Talent dropped a 6-3, 6-2 decision, while Justin Compton lost 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
Hauser won the No. 2 doubles match as Sam Meek and Alex Gross took a 6-1, 6-1 win. The Jets’ Noah Miller and Luke Meier dropped a 6-4, 5-2 decision.
Jacob Rose and Jacob Johnson and Aaron Mee and Sean Miller won JV doubles matches for Hauser.
Stars drop Cougars
BEDFORD — The Trinity Lutheran boys tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision to host Bedford North Lawrence.
Trinity Lutheran’s Jonathon Keith lost 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Tanner Prewiett was beaten 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, while Bailey Baker was defeated 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles match.
In doubles, Matt Stuckwisch and Hunter Morgan lost 6-0, 6-1 and Aden Jones and Pierce McCammon were beaten 6-0, 6-0.
Trinity Lutheran fell to 0-5.
