Air Force Airman Stephan A. Mitchell Jr., brother of Columbus resident Sydney A. Mitchell, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
Mitchell completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Mitchell, a 2006 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, is the son of Stephan Mitchell of Speedway and Kimberly D. Mitchell of Indianapolis; and brother of Danielle A. Mitchell and Stephanie D. Mitchell of Indianapolis, and Darryl D. Thomas of Jamestown.
