Elementary Softball League beginning

Today is the deadline to register for The Elementary Softball League, which will be for girls in Grades 4 to 6 who want to take their game to the next level. Cost is $35. Games will be played Tuesdays and Thursdays at Dunn Stadium.

Public can use YMCA for $1 Sundays this month

The Decatur Family YMCA in Greensburg is offering Super Sundays in August. The public can use the YMCA from 1 to 5 p.m. for $1. For more information, call 812-663-YMCA.

Dunn Stadium to host adult softball leagues

Adult softball fall leagues at Dunn Stadium will begin this week.

Baseball organization to conduct open tryouts

The Greensburg Titans baseball organization will conduct open tryouts for its 2016 spring/summer season Aug. 9 at the Greensburg Baseball Complex. There is no cost to try out.

Fastpitch softball team looking for players

The Indiana Nitro fastpitch softball team will conduct tryouts for its 16U travel team from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Northside Middle School diamond. The Nitro are looking for quality infielders and outfielders Players should have some travel team experience.

Women’s roller derby offers youth skills camp

The Columbus women’s roller derby team, Terrorz of Tiny Towns, will conduct a youth skills camp for ages 7 to 17 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 26 at Skateland.

Cost is $25. Skaters are required to have personal health insurance and have all protective gear, including a helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards and elbow and knee pads, and a parent or guardian must fill out all required forms.

Skates can be rented at Skateland for a small fee.

Over-40 softball league registration underway

The Columbus Softball Association is taking registration for its Fall Over-40 Softball League. Players may sign up as individuals and be assigned to a team. For more information, call 812-379-4872.

Baseball organization schedules tryouts

Baseball Recruiters/Full Throttle will host tryouts Saturday at Logan Field at Forest Park in Noblesville.

Columbus Youth Flag Football sets dates

Registration and camp for Columbus Youth Flag Football will be Aug. 16, 18, 19 and 20 at the Columbus East High School practice field for boys and girls in prekindergarten through eighth grade. Games will be Sundays on the East game field.

Ceraland hosting fall leagues in four sports

Ceraland has set dates for fall baseball, fastpitch softball, indoor basketball and indoor soccer leagues.

Aug. 17 is the deadline to register for the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and high school fall baseball leagues. Teams will play six to eight games beginning Aug. 22, followed by a single-elimination tournament. Cost is $425 for 8U, 10U and 12U and $475 for 14U and high school.

Aug. 17 is the deadline to register for the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and high school fastpitch softball leagues. Teams will play six games starting Aug. 23, followed by a single-elimination tourney. Cost is $350.

Sept. 15 is the deadline to register for the Tuesday Corporate and Wednesday Open basketball leagues. Cost is $425 for the corporate league and $325 for the open league and include the sports center entry fees.

Oct. 5 is the deadline to register for the fall indoor soccer league. Teams will play eight games Monday evenings or Saturdays. Players must be at least 14 by the first scheduled game. Cost is $300 and includes the sports center entry fee.

Bowling League to host Fun Day Tournament

The Senior Men’s League is hosting a special Fun Day Tournament to introduce new bowlers to the league at 1 p.m. Aug. 20 at Columbus Bowling Center for men ages 50 and older.

Participants will bowl two “special” games. A snack and novelty items will be offered.
