Monte and Janet Vails of Columbus recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Vails and the former Janet Lambert were married July 16, 1976, at Hope Moravian Church by the Rev. Albert Harke.
Mr. Vails is retired.
Mrs. Vails is employed by Circle K Midwest.
The couple have two children, Michelle Moats and Melissa Smith; and three grandchildren.
