The American Red Cross is having a series of blood drives to encourage donors to help build the supply before the holidays, including three events in Bartholomew County.
Upcoming local blood donation opportunities are:
- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 11 at La Quinta Inn & Suites, 101 Carrie Lane, Columbus.
- 2-6 p.m. Nov. 14 at Hope Moravian Church, 202 Main St., Hope.
- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 15 at Columbus City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.
A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification, are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
To make an appointment to give blood, download the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-733-2767. Donors are encouraged to make appointments and complete the RapidPass online health history questionnaire at redcrossblood.org/rapidpass to save time when donating.
