East downs Mooresville

MOORESVILLE — Columbus East held out some of its top wrestlers Tuesday night, but still rolled to a 45-19 win at Mooresville.

Austin Wilson (160 pounds), Dalton Anderson (285), Joey Gordon (113) and Jake Schoenegge (138) all won by pin for the 19th-ranked Olympians. Dawson Combest (132) won a technical fall.

Also for East, Andy Davidson (152) won a major decision. Corban Pollitt (145), Hunter Dickmeyer (170), Jacob Bolte (195) and Jeremy Clark (106) all won by decision.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Jets fall to Pirates

HOPE — Class 3A No. 6 Greensburg was too much for Hauser in a 74-51 decision.

Tori Chandler led the Jets (11-6) with 19 points. Sarah Tedder added seven points and 10 rebounds, and Taylor Henderson had six points and nine rebounds.

Trinity tops Shawe

MADISON — Trinity Lutheran led by only three points going into the fourth quarter before pulling away for a 44-35 win at Madison Shawe.

Abby Hackman led the Cougars (9-11) with 10 points.
