COLUMBUS
Dixie Taskey, 86, of Columbus, passed from this life at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Silver Oaks Health Campus surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Taskey was born July 18, 1931, in Horse Cave, Kentucky, the loving daughter of Clyde and Pearl Bastin Lile. She married Harold F. Taskey January 26, 1957.
Mrs. Taskey retired from Dolly Madison in 1987 after several years of service.
She was a founding member of the Bible Church of Columbus and she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and family.
Mrs. Taskey is survived by her children, Scott A. (Cindy) Taskey of Columbus and Sandy (Bill) Allen of Columbus; her daughter-in-law, Chris Hunt of Columbus; her grandchildren, Greg Taskey of Columbus, Derrick (Lindsay) Taskey of Westport, Rachel Allen of Columbus, and Lindsey (Josh) Reagan of Columbus; her great-grandchildren, Skylee Taskey and Nathanael Mace; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Taskey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold, June 16, 1992; a son, David Taskey; brothers, James and Gordon Lile; and sisters, Addis Young, Edith Littrell, Landis Hiser, Redis Stilts, and Verna Burns.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Jerry K. Day Sr. officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Bible Church of Columbus or Bible Church of Columbus Missions.
