Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies are investigating a car-deer collision in which the vehicle caught fire on a rural road.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Martoccia was sent to the accident at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 13000 block of Becks Grove Road. A white Honda CRV driven by Aimie Heltman, 39, Freetown, caught fire after hitting the deer, deputies said.
