Ivy Tech to participate in Days of Service project

Ivy Tech Community College’s Columbus campus will be involved in the Ivy Tech Days of Service this week.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in hands-on service projects organized with community and nonprofit organizations. The Columbus campus will be involved in an American Red Cross blood drive and Bowl for Kids’ Sake event.

  • The blood drive will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in Room 217 in Poling Hall on Ivy Tech’s campus, 4475 Central Ave.
  • The Bowl for Kids’ Sake event Saturday and next Sunday at the Columbus Bowling Center, 3010 State St., will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bartholomew County.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for students, faculty and staff to come together to serve others, support community organizations and to learn more about the resources available in their local communities,” said Carey Treager, assistant vice president for student and career development at Ivy Tech.
