Columbus police made an arrest on drug-related charges while investigating a report of suspicious activity in a Columbus parking lot.
Officers were sent to the 3500 block of Central Avenue at 3:40 p.m. Monday and found occupants of a vehicle loitering in the parking lot, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
A police canine was requested and alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle, Harris said. When searching the vehicle, officers found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia under the driver’s seat, Harris said.
Officers arrested John David Wilson, 25, Columbus, on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, Harris said.
