Motorcycle ride benefits cancer patient

A motorcycle ride with additional activities planned will benefit a local woman battling cervical cancer.

The #WANDASFIGHT Benefit Ride starts at noon June 10 at the Moose Lodge, 2765 State Road 3 North in North Vernon. It will end at the same location and will be conducted rain or shine.

Proceeds benefit Wandra Wright, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer two months ago. The money raised will help with medical bills, funeral costs and general needs.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., and a biscuits and gravy breakfast is available for $3.

The event includes an auction and live entertainment. T-shirts and bracelets will be for sale. Food will be for sale after the ride.

The benefit ride costs $25 per rider and $20 per passenger.
